The JazzZone is continuing the legacy of Jimmie Owens, a legacy of musical genius. James Owens Growing up in East St. Louis. James Owens began his career in music during music classes at Lincoln High School with his brother Hilton Owens and the young Miles Davis. As a drummer, Jimmie Owens played in the Big Bands at the famous Central Avenue Dunbar Hotel, Club Alabam  the Persian Room and several other locations in the Los Angeles area. Closing his career Playing on the famous PlayBoy sage at the Old Pasadena Jazz Festival in Pasadena CA.

 We are grateful for all the work that Dahle Scott McDuff & the Jammin Foundation and the Living Legend Foundation have done for our beginnings. It is great when collaborations can happen, and great community work continues.  A Foundation that has a passion and a heart for Living Jazz & Blues Legends. We created this Foundation with the purpose of educating our youth about honoring and celebrating Jazz & Blues Legends, over the age of 60. Realizing that age is only a number, our goal and mission is to make sure that Jazz & Blues continues Live on Stage and in the heart and minds of our future generation of Young Lions & Lioness of Jazz & Blues.

Daryl Darden is an extraordinary guitarist and vocalist. Daryl Darden a valuable member of the JazzZone network as a guitarist and vocalist leading the way to our current successes. We have and continued to rely on his extraordinary talent and strength of musicianship as a leader in the JazzZone. His wealth of experience and expertise has clearly assisted the JazzZone with our current opportunities. Daryl Darden is a consummate professional, well versed in all types of music. Musician Daryl Darden out of East Saint Louis Ill with over 47 years in the music industry, Daryl has established a household name alongside legendary greats such as George Benson, Bobby Blue Bland, BB King, Albert King, and Richard Groove Holmes.

 Pianist Stu Pearlman has been performing, recording, teaching, and playing Jazz, R&B, Blues, Motown

   Pianist Stu Pearlman has been performing, recording, teaching, and playing Jazz, R&B, Blues, Motown, Pop, Fusion, Funk, World, Reggae, Latin, Rock, Smooth & Original music in a career that spans over 40 years, playing at many local and national venues. He studied piano at Brown University and Berklee School of Music.  I am a pianist who loves to play and have performed in many venues throughout the country. I have traveled around the world for various gigs and tours. Most of my work involves performing, arranging scores and lead sheets and recording. My other passions include writing & composing, My objectives to provide the clients with industry level quality product and a highly creative experience.

Jeff Robinson

Jeff Robinson has extraordinary vocal range and talent. Jeff Robinson a valuable member of the JazzZone network as a vocalist leading the way to our current successes at Roscoe’s jazz lounge in Long Beach CA. His wealth of experience and expertise has clearly assisted the JazzZone with our current opportunities. Excellent performances always his A game with our music projects. Though primarily a jazz singer, Brooklyn native Jeff Robinson blends touches of R&B, adult contemporary, and even hip-hop into his mostly self-penned material. Robinson contributed backing vocals to Coolio's 1997 My Soul LP before issuing his eponymous debut album in 1998. Jeff Robinson is an amazing Old School R&B vocalist with that incredible Jazzy groove.

Darrell Crooks (RIP) was an extraordinary guitarist and at times provided the audience with his amazing vocal skills. Darrell Crooks new to the JazzZone is also a valuable member of the JazzZone Network as a guitarist and vocalist leading the way to our current successes. His wealth of experience and expertise has clearly assisted the JazzZone with our current opportunities. Darrell Crooks is a guitarist from Houston, Texas who has played on live and recording projects with Archie Bell, Ronnie Laws, The Commodores, Vanessa Williams, Tupac Shakur, The Crusaders and as music director with The Gap Band.
